Cookies, analytics and your choices

This page explains the technologies used on beshare.com.au and how to control optional analytics and marketing. Read it together with our Privacy Policy.

Change or withdraw your choices

Use here or in the site footer. You can accept optional categories, select only necessary technologies, or change individual categories. A new choice is requested when the consent notice changes or after 180 days.

Your choice is stored in your browser as beshare_consent_v2 and communicated to Shopify's Customer Privacy system. Optional analytics managed by our website requires an analytics choice and Shopify permission. Withdrawing analytics stops subsequent events from our Umami and PostHog integration and clears its anonymous PostHog tab identifier. Requests already sent while permission was active are not recalled.

Strictly necessary

Shopify uses technologies needed for the store, cart, checkout, account access, security and privacy preferences. These support the service you request. Shopify maintains its current cookie information.

Analytics — optional

We use these services to understand website use and improve the store:

  • Google Analytics 4: our existing Shopify Google integration measures website and ecommerce activity according to your consent and Shopify's settings. Google describes its processing in its Privacy Policy. This connection may use Google analytics cookies.
  • Self-hosted Umami: our analytics service at stats.cooblink.top receives public-page visits, fixed contact actions, the start of contact-form interaction and numeric performance measurements. This integration does not set an analytics cookie or collect form text, search queries or account and checkout pages.
  • PostHog: our separate Beshare project uses anonymous public-page and contact-interaction events. A random identifier is kept in the current browser tab's session storage; we do not connect it to a customer account. We do not enable session recording, automatic capture of all clicks, or person profiles. See PostHog's Privacy Policy.

Our Umami and PostHog events use the public pathname and fixed page, language, contact-action and referral categories. We exclude URL queries and fragments, raw referring URLs, contact recipients, form values and customer or order identifiers. These two integrations also respect browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. An empty referrer is recorded as unknown/direct; it does not establish how you found us.

Marketing and preferences — optional

Marketing covers advertising and remarketing features where enabled. Preferences covers optional features that remember choices. Your category selections are passed to Shopify and Google's Consent Mode. Declining optional categories does not prevent you from using the store.

Operational processing

Shopify and the services receiving network requests also process technical information needed to deliver and secure their services. This page does not set a separate retention period for their operational logs. See our Privacy Policy and the relevant provider information for details.
